Do You Want A Coloured American Fridge Freezer?

Friday April 2, 2010

Buying an American style fridge freezer is a big decision to make. They are among the most expensive fridge freezers on the market and yet you get a lot for your money.

This is why you need to seriously consider the colour of the fridge freezer before you buy it. American models come in all kinds of colours and some of them are brighter than others. You might be tempted to buy one that is bright red purely because it catches your eye, but is it really the best decision to make?

A Selection of the Best Selling Coloured American Style Fridge Freezers

Smeg in particular is known for producing US style fridge freezers in all kinds of wonderful colours. They have several shades of blue alone, along with bright red and even a retro lime green model. As you can see there are lots of colours to choose from and this makes it very important not to buy on impulse. Your new US style fridge freezer will be a part of your kitchen for a long time to come, so make sure you can live with it for that long.

The first thing is to consider your current kitchen décor. You might think a coloured fridge freezer would fit in beautifully with what you have now. But supposing you want to repaint in a few months time? What happens then with regard to your fridge freezer? You will either run the risk of being restricted in your paint colour or you will have to accept that it could clash with your fridge freezer.

In truth then you need to be determined and dead set to get a particular colour if it is going to work. And it helps if the rest of the family like it as well otherwise there will always be comments and digs about it!

Of course not all colours have to be bright ones. In the Smeg range you can buy a bright blue American style fridge freezer but you can also buy one that is a very pale blue. This is better if you want a colour because it can blend into the background a bit more. A strong colour can be difficult to manage after a while, particularly if you want to ensure your kitchen always looks good.

So while there is nothing wrong with bright colours, make sure you consider all the options carefully before opting for one in particular.
